Adele Chapman Madison
October 5, 1920 - April 3, 2012
Adele Chapman Madison, 91, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in West Jordan, Utah on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was born on October 5, 1920 in Rigby, Idaho and was the daughter of Royal Lorenzo and Agnes Ellen Purser Chapman. She had six brothers and sisters: Truman, Afton, June, Dwayne, Dorothy and Lyle. Adele married Jack Madison on October 13, 1940 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1941. Jack and Adele had four children: Carolyn, Michael, Douglas and Kristine. Adele was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many years in both Primary and Relief Society Presidencies both on ward and stake levels. Adele and Jack served a mission for the church and later worked in the Boise LDS temple for 11 years. Adele spent most of her 57 years of married life in the Boise and Nampa area. Jack and Adele owned Madison's Fine Furniture until 1985 when Jack retired and they left on their mission to Florida.
Adele is survived by her children Carolyn (Herb) Montierth, Michael (Gaylene) Madison, Douglas (Opal) Madison and Kristine (Lee) Self; 19 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack, her Mother and Father, all of her brothers and sisters, 1 grandson, 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Nampa 25th Ward LDS Chapel, 607 W. Locust Lane, Nampa. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300
