Her new style birth date was 28 Feb. One record says she was born in Ladekop, Molotschna. Adelgunda was the first of the Suderman children to emigrate. She and Peter and their 9 children left Prangenau in 1874 to seek a new life in Manitoba. Within less than 1 year they moved to Kansas due to the cold winters. They settled in the Alexanderfeld community, 1 mile west of Hillsboro.
