Mrs William Eaton died Wednesday of last week at her home in Emerson, after a painful illness. --Mills County Tribune --Thursday, June 27, 1905

The entire community was saddened last Thursday by the announcement of the death of Mrs. W. H. Eaton that morning. While she had not been strong for some time, the summons came very sudden and few realized that she was even dangerously ill until they heard of her death.

The funeral was held Saturday morning at ten o'cock and was conducted by Rev. C. M. Cline of the Baptist church assisted by Rev. W. J. Watson of Villisca and Rev. S. Moore and Sweeney of the Methodist and Presbyterian church of Emerson.

It was very largely attended showing the great respect and love in which she was held in this community.

She leaves to mourn her loss her sorrowing husband and six children. Our deepest sympathy goes out to them in their hour of affliction. --Malvern Leader, Thursday, June 29, 1905
