Note: Adrien-Amable (1751-c.1808) is the forefather of the large Couvillion clan of Avoyelles today. Not to be confused with Louis Amable Couvillon (1749-1823). Please do not try to merge these two profiles.

Adrien Quevillon immigrated from France to Montreal, Québec in 1664, and married Jeanne Hunault at a nearby fishing village. Many descendants changed the surname to Couvillon. Direct descendant, Adrien Amable Couvillon (1751-1812), immigrated from Canada to Pointe Coupee, Louisiana and married Marion Ann Pourceau in 1779. Descendants lived chiefly in Louisiana, with some living in Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere.
