In the 1880 census David and Agnes are living in Harmony Clay Indiana with their children Agnes 10, Mary 6, John 3, and Hugh 7 months. David is a miner and is 33 year old brother John Brown is living with the family and also a miner.

In the 1900 census David and Agnes Brown are living in Van Buren, Clay, Indiana with children John 28 a miner, Mary 25 not employed, Hugh 19 a coal miner and Frances 14 at school.

In the 1910 census David and Agnes Brown are living in Van Buren township, Clay, Indiana with their adult children Mary 35 years and Hugh C 28 years. Both David and Hugh are coal miners whilst Agnes and Mary do not work.

I haven't found a death record for Agnes Calderwood which suggests she married and/or may have emigrated I have found a number of Agnes Calderwoods marrying but no clear links to her. I have found her death record which provides both parents names and I now believe this is her. There are two trees on Mundia that have her living in America by 1880 in Harmony Clay Indiana, then in Van Buren Clay Indiana in 1910, and then dying in Clay Indiana in 1927. She has four children Agnes Calderwood Brown 1870-1944 Mary Brown 1874 John Brown 1877 Hugh Brown 1879.

On GenForum in 2001 a Margaret Brown Baratto posted this query which could be about this Agnes.Looking for info on David Brown who married Agnes Calderwood 8/20/1869. He born 1/1/1845 she 1/11/1841. Both left Scotland, settling around Cardonia, IN. He was a miner and they had four children. They were in the Masonic Lodge as well as Eastern Star. There was no response to the query. There is an Agnes Calderwood born 11/Jan/1840 in Maybole to James Calderwood and Mary Dow.
