Still relying on Gene Stackhouse's research[2], which he identifies as "probable" and "not disproved", we'll start with James StackhouseC who married first Agnes CARR, the daughter of Thomas Carr. (See information on the numbering system used on this web page.) Agnes died, and on Christmas Day 1564 was buried. James then married in October 1567 Anna Carr, who may have been her sister (?). James was buried 28 January 1592.

~•perhaps related to Thomas Carr of Stackhouse of that era, who left a will written 20 July 1549, as recorded in https://www.skiptoncastle.co.uk/craven-history/13_Parish-of-Giggles... (page 162) see:

Disputed Origins

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Carr-980

Agnes is linked as the daughter of Elizabeth, but their birth dates (Agnes 1534, Elizabeth 1529) make that impossible. Elizabeth and Thomas' wedding date is 1548. Agnes' birth has been adjusted to 1548 pending further research to either disconnect her from these parents or find a more accurate set of dates.Brown-8212 19:52, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
