William de Percy & his first wife had five children (who were co-heiresses of William Briwere the younger, their maternal uncle, who died shortly before Feb 1233):

King Edward I confirmed the grant by "Agnes de Balliol to her son Ingeram de Balliol of her land at Foxton" for five years from 11 Jun 1275, by charter dated 5 May 1276[241]. m EUSTACE de Balliol, son of INGELRAN de Balliol & his wife --- (-after Sep 1262).

He was the second son of Ingram "Lord Harcourt" de Balliol (Died about 1244 at about age 79 in Tours-en-Vimeu, Somme, Picardie, France) by his wife, the daughter of William de Berkeley, Lord Reidcastle

"Eustachius de Balliol dominus de Turribus" confirmed the donation of "ecclesiam sancti Constantini de Kolmanele que nunc dicitru Kirkostintyn…ecclesiam sancte Brigide de Blaket" made by "Uthredus filius Fergus", and "ecclesiam suam de Kircostintyn et de Kirkebrid" made to Holyrood abbey by "Engeraldus de Balliolo pater meus", by charter dated early Sep 1262[888]. The former confirmation suggests a relationship with the family of the lords of Galloway but, if this is correct, its precise nature has not been ascertained.

Origins

William De Percy, born about 1193. He married (1st) about 1226 Joan Briwerre (or Briwere). They had five daughters, including Joan (wife of Henry de Ferlington), Agnes (wife of Eustace de Balliol), Alice (wife of Randolph Heringaud [or Heringod], , and Anastasia. Joan died before 12 June 1233. He married (2nd) about 1233 Ellen De Balliol, daughter of Ingram de Balliol, by ____, daughter and heiress of Walter de Berkeley. They had six sons, Henry, Knt., Ingram, Knt., William [Canon at St. Peter's, York], Walter, Allan, and Jocelin. William De Percy died shortly before 28 July 1245. His widow, Ellen, died shortly before 22 Nov. 1281. [2]
