BIOGRAPHY Alain II, seigneur de la Motte-du-Parc, was the son of Alain I, seigneur du Parc. He was a knight and captain of a hundred men-at-arms. With his wife Agnès de Coëtmen, probably daughter of Geslin, seneschal of Goëlle, a younger son of Henri I, comte de Tréguier et de Guincamp, and Mathilde de Vendôme, he had two sons, Henri and Alain, and a daughter Aliette. All three married, and Henri and Alain are recorded with progeny.

In 1270 Alain and his brother Robert witnessed 'as relations' the estate division between Alain de Rohan and his younger siblings. In 1271 he received a third of the tithes of Ariovée in the parish of Gouray.
