Spurious Pedigree
It has been claimed that Alexander Anderson, here treated, the husband of Isabel Whiggam is that son of Alexander Anderson, Resident of Pittenweem in Fife and his wife Agnes Russell whose baptism was registered at Pittenweem in Fife on 26 November 1704. It should be noticed, however, that Isabel Whiggam's oldest child was baptised at Kirkcaldy on 29 January 1716 and that It is unlikely, or impossible, that the father of this child would have been a twelve year old boy. Consequently, it is difficult to accept that Alexander Anderson, here treated is the same person as Isabel Whiggam is that son of Alexander Anderson, Resident of Pittenweem in Fife
Alexander, here treated, married Isabel Whiggam.
