In the Australian Electorial Roll 1977 he is listed in the Electoral Place of Bulimba Griffith and living at 50 Brisbane St, Bulimba with no job listed and in the1980 Electoral Place, Kelvin Grove Brisbane Queensland living at 67 Eureka St, Kelvin Grove with no job listed. I suspect that both these places could have been boarding houses as there were other people also listed as living there.

The last information I have been able to find on Alex is in the Australian Electoral Rolls 1903-1980 where his residence is listed as 198 City of Brisbane, Queensland Australia,
