George Fitzwater, Edward Hughes, and others, and patented several tracts in what is now Nicholas, Clay, and Kanawha Counties, WV (Pioneer Families section of "The History of Nicholas County, WV") He was buried at Bethel Cemeter, Nicholas Co., WV.
