9 November 1652: Sir J Campbell of Dunstafinch, Muckairne, to Lord Deskford. Has heard that recipient has arrested Glenorchy's Perthshire rents without any respect to writer's rights; assumes that this was due to ignorance; had long ago constituted Alexander Campbell of Lochdochart, as assignee to rents; writer being sensible of sufferings of recipient and his deceased father, has appointed Lochdochart to pay to recipient his annualrents out of rents, preferring him to other creditors; wishes matters settled in a friendly manner. 17 November 1657: Letter from Alexander Campbell of Lochdochart and John Campbell of Kinloch to David Murray, apothecary in Perth. Balloch, 17 November 1657: "The laird of Glenurquhy my father being at the poynt of removeing from this vaill of miserie to eternall happiness and we being band on dewtie to dischairge our last service to him, hes made our recourse to yow Requesting ye may be pleasit to send up with the bearar presentlie one sight heirof ane scheircloth and so much holland as his body may be wraptit in together with so much pulders as will preserve his corps from putrifaction for ten days space". 7 January 1670: Alexander Campbell [of Lochdochart], Balloch, to the laird of Glenurchy, younger, his nephew. Some difficulty over a bargain with Leny and the liferentrix due to fact that minister of Calander had got an augmentation of stipend; difficulty in providing money. Lady Drum's business 'all is quyett blissed be god throw the cuntry only ther wes tuo kows stollen ... and no word gottine of them as yett and four or fyve of Lawers wedders'. 8 December 1674: Edinburgh. Letter from Mr Alexander Campbell to Alexander Campbell of Lochdochart, his uncle. Acknowledges receipt of £388 scots which he immediately sent out to Mr John Sinclare in Ormistoune as payment for half a year's board to sons of writer's brother; asks for more money still resting to Mr Sinclare; wishes for news of writer's brother. 27 November 1677: Alexander Campbell of Lochdochart to the laird of Glenurchy, his brother. Points out that he did not order recipient's men of Achinscaldine to trouble him or to leave his charge, 'only I did civillyie demand satisfactioun of beasts belonging to me quhich I think they wrongouslie medled with' agrees to arbitration of recipient's son in anything laid to writer's charge.
