24 May 1459: Instrument of resignation by Thomas de Scougale of his temple lands of Dudinstone lying in the barony of Abercorn within the sheriffdom of Linlithgow in the hands of a venerable and religious man Brother Henry of Levyngstone, knight and preceptor of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem within the Kingdom of Scotland as in the hands of his superior because the said lands were held of St John and his ministers.
