23 October 1529: Charter by which James V, King of Scots, confirms possession of the lands of Culve and others in the barony of Aberdour and sheriffdom of Banff, to Alexander Innes, and his wife Elizabeth Abernethy. Alexander is identified as the son and apparent heir of Alexander Innes of that Ilk. Alexander Innes of that Ilk, who had previously resigned these lands in favour of his son, reserved his own liferent. Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum. 20 June 1532: Charter by which James V, King of Scots, confirms possession of the lands of Kirkton and others in the barony of Kilmalleno in the sheriffdom of Elgin to Alexander Innes, his familiar servitor, and Elizabeth Abernethy his spouse, to be held them in conjunct fee and liferent. 1 March 1541:Charter by which Alexander Innes of that Ilk confirms that he has given various lands in liferent to to his wife Elizabeth Forbes, widow of Gilbert Keith of Trowp. His charter was confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 3 March 1541-42. Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum. 23 July 1542: Precept of Sasine by Alexander Innes of that Ilk, son and heir of Umqhile Alexander Innes of that Ilk for infefting his cousin James Innes of Rothmakenzie in the lands of Garmoch, Corsque and Newtown, lying in the Barony of Innes, and Sheriffdom of Elgin and Forres in special warranties of the lands of Cromy and Inlififfe, lying in the Barony of Aberkendone of by annexation in the Barony of Innes and sheriffdom of Banff, and in the lands of Brakenhillis and the half-lands of Newmyll lying in the Lordship of the Forest of Boyne and Sheriffdom of Banff, which were sold by the granter to the grantee, Signed and sealed at Edinburgh. 15 August 1545: Charter by which the Queen of Scots confirms, under the Great Seal of Scotland, that she has given the lands of Ardmalie and others in the barony of Innes and sheriffdom of Banff to Alexander Innes of that Ilk and his wife Elizabeth Forbes, to be be held by them in conjunct fee and liferent, and by Alexander's heirs whatsoever. 22 January 1545-46: Charter by which the Queen of Scots confirms, under the Great Seal of Scotland, that she has given the lands of Kynnardy and others in the barony of Innes and sheriffdom of Banff to Alexander Innes of that Ilk and his wife Elizabeth Forbes, to be be held by them in conjunct fee and liferent, and by Alexander's heirs whatsoever.
