About Alexander Spittal
James Spittell, his great uncle left him all his property and married his grand daughter.
Alexander Drummond, son of John Drummond and Jean Campbell, was baptised in the parish of Edinburgh, Midlothian on 28 April 1650.[1]
In 1668, Alexander changed his last name to Spittal, on the death of his great-uncle, Alexander Spittal of Leuchat.[2]
