About Alma J. Kline
MILLERSBURG — Alma E. Hershberger, 97, 4918 Township Road 369, Millersburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at the home of her daughter, Nettie (Emanuel) Hochstetler of Holmesville.
She was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Holmes County to the late Joe E. and Bena Edna (Gingerich) Kline, and married Eli E. Hershberger on Nov. 5, 1946. He died Sept. 8, 2016.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family and friends, including her deaf friends.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her children, Edward (Rachel) Hershberger of Trail, Nettie (Emanuel) Hochstetler of Holmesville, Wayne (Miriam) Hershberger of Sugarcreek and Edna Mae (Melvin) Yoder of the home; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Sam Kline of Pittsburgh, Pa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren; her parents; a brother, Ira Kline; and a sister, Verna Troyer.
Services will be Friday, Dec. 22 at 9 a.m. at the Nelson Burkholder residence, 4955 Township Road 369, Millersburg, with Bishop Andy R. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Berlin Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the Burkholder residence.
The family is very grateful for the services LifeCare Hospice provided. Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, is assisting the family.
