She was born in Monroe, Michigan on May 2, 1904 to the Rev. Freder ic H. K. Soll and Karoline (Schurbohm) Soll. In 1908 the family moved fr om Monroe, Mi to Burlington, WI where her father had accepted the presiden cy of the Joint Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michig an, Nebraska and other states (now the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Syno d). The family came west in 1912 when her father accepted a call to Past or the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yakima, then a German speaki ng congregation.
She graduated from Yakima High School and later from Ellensburg Norm al School. For a time she was a secretary to the President of Seattle Fir st National Bank in Yakima. On May 17, 1931, she was married to Ralph N. S olberg in Yakima, then moved to Grandview where her husband had become man ager of Darigold Dairyman's Association. The couple moved from Grandvi ew to Yakima in 1942. Mrs. Solberg was also a bookkeeper employed by Weste rn Farmers Association for fifteen years until her retirement in 1969. S he was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where she w as a Sunday school teacher and assisted with playing the organ. In 1949, s he became one of the founding members of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Chu rch in Yakima.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard R. and Delores So lberg of Green Acres, WA; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn M. and Jim St one of Buckley, WA; six grandchildren; one sister, Emma C. Austin of Bothe ll, WA; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph N. Solberg in Decemb er 1975; her parents; a son, Norman Solberg in 1946; eight brothers and si sters, Frederic Soll, Marie Galleher, Anna C. Soll, Dora Gansen, Elizabe th Soll, Hans Soll, Paul H. Soll and Theodore C. Soll, and a nephew, Frede rick C. Soll.

The couple moved from Grandview to Yakima in 1942. Mrs. Solberg was also a bookkeeper employed by Western Farmers Association for fifteen years until her retirement in 1969. She was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and assisted with playing the organ. In 1949, she became one of the founding members of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yakima.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard R. and Delores Solberg of Green Acres, WA; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn M. and Jim Stone of Buckley, WA; six grandchildren; one sister, Emma C. Austin of Bothell, WA; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph N. Solberg in December 1975; her parents; a son, Norman Solberg in 1946; eight brothers and sisters, Frederic Soll, Marie Galleher, Anna C. Soll, Dora Gansen, Elizabeth Soll, Hans Soll, Paul H. Soll and Theodore C. Soll, and a nephew, Frederick C. Soll.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Monday, January 27 in Tahoma Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 411 So. 31st Ave., Yakima. She was born in Monroe, Michigan on May 2, 1904 to the Rev. Frederic H. K. Soll and Karoline (Schurbohm) Soll. In 1908 the family moved from Monroe, Mi to Burlington, WI where her father had accepted the presidency of the Joint Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska and other states (now the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod). The family came west in 1912 when her father accepted a call to Pastor the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yakima, then a German speaking congregation.
She graduated from Yakima High School and later from Ellensburg Normal School. For a time she was a secretary to the President of Seattle First National Bank in Yakima. On May 17, 1931, she was married to Ralph N. Solberg in Yakima, then moved to Grandview where her husband had become manager of Darigold Dairyman's Association.
