About Almon David Owens

Almon David Owens is the baby in the center of the above photo. He was the son of James Clark Owens III and Jane Cecelia Cluff and was born in Woodruff, Navajo, Arizona, in 1892. His older siblings are also pictured, James Clark Owens IV, and Elsie Vilate Owens DeWitt Flake. Almon married Alta Ellsworth in Arizona on June 19, 1914, when he was 22 and she was 18 years old. They had eleven children, 7 boys and 4 girls. After Alta passed away in 1957, Almon married Ione Rogers, who was a widow. She had 10 children with her first husband, James Lowell Pearce, and he died in 1937 due to an automobile accident when all of their children were under the age of 18 years old. There are two other photos of Almon David Owens under the Media Tab above showing him when he was an adult and another taken when he was older.
