 Mr. Alonzo Oldfield of Church street who was taken to Grant hospital, Columbus, Friday in the invalid coach of Leonard Bros., underwent an operation for appendicitis, the same day.  His condition is regarded as serious and either Mrs. Oldfield, son Chauncey or daughter Miss Pansy Oldfield are constantly at his bedside.

DIED IN COLUMBUS - Funeral Services for Alonzo Oldfield Will Be Held Saturday

 Alonzo Oldfield, 59, died Wednesday at Grant hospital, Columbus, O., where on Friday he had undergone an operation for appendicitis.  The remains were brought to Logan and prepared for burial at the Leonard Bros. Mortuary and this afternoon at 2 o'clock will be taken to the late home on West Street.  For many years Mr. Oldfield had been employed by the Owens Manufacturing Co.
 Surviving are the wife, one daughter, Miss Pansy Oldfield of the home and one son Chauncey Oldfield of St. Bloomingville.  Funeral services will be held at the First M. E. church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. J. R. Fields officiating.  Interment will be made in Oak Grove cemetery by Leonard Bros.
