Alvin H Barker

Alvin H. Barker, 81, of 2729 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, Lancaster County, passed away January 13th, 2012.

He was the husband of Esther M. (Habecker) Barker who died March 30, 2010.

Born in Avon, Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Albert E. and Nora V. (Kline) Barker.

Mr. Barker was an inside sales and purchasing agent for Brown Engineering in Reading for 23 years retiring in October of 2003.

He was a 1948 Graduate of the former Heidelberg Twp. High School, Berks County and was a 19 year Air Force Veteran.

Surviving are two daughters: Sharon (Barker), wife of Walter Gable, Lancaster, and Kathryn (Barker), wife of Clyde Diffendall, East Petersburg, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, one brother, one granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren.

Services from Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Wednesday at 12 noon, Rev. Ron A. Bohannon officiating. Friends may call Wednesday 11 am to 12 noon. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Kimmerlings Church Cemetery, North Lebanon Twp.
