- Departed from Hamburg in mid October 1858 under Captain I.C.H. Müller
- Stop in Cape Town. A total of about 150 families disembarked from the 'Wilhelmsburg', the 'Peter Godeffroy' and the 'Johan Cesar' in Cape Town. Of these, a few settled at Wynberg and are marked by a (W).
- Arrival in East London in what was then Kaffraria on 13 January 1859 (ahead of the 'Peter Godeffroy') with 128 families still on board.
- Hempel, Christian, Arbeitsmann (37), Warthe (Pr.), mit Frau Wilhelmine (39) und Amalie (12), Christian (11), Friedrich (8), Carl (5), Franz (1).
