Amanda Lyons Sammons

Information from "The History of Schley County, Georgia", compiled and sponsored by the Schley Co. Preservation Society, c. 1982 W H Wolfe & Associates, pages 180- 181, quotes the lineage of Wiley Carter ( Mem 41045369) as it first appeared in Georgia Life Magazine (By Kenneth H. Thomas Jr) Winter, 1976. Amanda (1822-1898) married Judge Jordon R. Lyons in Warren Co, Ga on Aug. 4,1838. When he died about 1865, she married Wiley G. Sammons (1836-1897) and both of them are buried in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery on Route 88 of Jefferson Co, GA.
