Amarinthia "Renchie" Norman was born 20 Jan 1770. In 1771 her parents emigrated from SC to Midway, Liberty Co. GA. Her father was William Norman 1 (b. abt 1745-d.3 Sep 1773) and mother, Mary Boyd of Charleston, SC, b. 1754, were married before 1766 d. 26 Dec 1797. William 1's father was Joseph Norman (b.1711 d.30 Nov 1764) married to Mary(Unkn). Grandparents were Moses Norman b.<17 May 1676 d. bef 18 Mar1741. Great Grandparents: William Norman, Sr. (b. abt 1648 d. 1699 or 1702) Married 1680 to Rebecca (b.1657 d.1729)
"Renchie" had two brothers: William Norman II (b. 26 Sep 1772 d.16 Jan 1796) who married Rebecca Baker (b.11 Mar 1772 d.21 Apr 1797). Rebecca's father was Richard Baker and second brother John Norman - baptized 18 Oct 1772. She also had one sister: Mary Norman (b.15 Jan 1766 Beech Hill, SC d. 16 Oct 1804 St John's Parrish, Midway, Liberty Co, GA.
On 29 Mar 1787 she married her 1st husband, Thomas Quarterman (1765-1788) He was recognized as a Revolutionary War Patriot by the SAR and DAR #A092977, they had one child: Thomas Quarterman (1788-1857). On 1 Jul 1790 she married her 2nd husband was Hon. John Elliott (d. 2 Jun 1791) They had one child William Elliott (b.24 Mar 1791 d. 1 Nov 1791). On 1 Jan 1793 she married her 3rd husband was Cyrus Gildersleeve (b. abt 1769 So Orange, NJ d.1838. Elizabethtown, NJ). They had 7 children. Renchie passed away at 37. She is buried in Midway Church Cemetery, Midway, Liberty Co. GA.
