Clifton, Amias (Ames Clyfton) of Somerset, eq. aur. fil. St. Alban Hall, matric. 18 March, 1585-6, aged 14; of Gray's Inn 7th and migrated to Lincoln's Inn 27 Feb., 1588-9, as 2nd son of Sir John, brother of Gervase and John same date, and of William 1584. See Foster's Inns of Court Reg.
