Amos is not specifically mentioned in Bassett, "History of Richmond, NH" as one of the original Hicks moving from Rehoboth or as a head of household. (See pps 411-12) He signed the "Association Test" (re Revolutionary loyalty against the British) Aug 30, 1776 in Richmond, NH (Bassett, pps 61-2) He served in The Revolutionary War. August 1776. He is listed as a private in the "Winchester Company" of Capt. William Humphrey, formed for the purpose of repelling a threatened attack on the northern frontier (Original in Concord NH Archives, copied in Bassett, p. 64) There is no further mention in Bassett. Must have left Richmond prior to 1789 (not on School District List of that year) 1790 Census - There is an Amos in Lanesborough, Berkshire, MA - 2 males over 16, 1 male under 16, 2 females.
