About Amos M Reiff

Amos M. Reiff, 92, of 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, formerly of Overlys Grove Rd., New Holland, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2005 at Fairmount Homes. He was preceded in death by his wife, A. Grace Esbenshade Reiff in January 2004.

Born in West Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Jacob and Hettie Martin Reiff.

Prior to 1958, he owned and operated a dairy farm in Elverson. From 1958 to 1984, he was a mechanic for the former Victor F. Weaver, Inc. and from 1984 to 1989, he was employed by Heritage Custom Kitchens.

He was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are five children: J. Titus, married to Miriam Kready Reiff, New Holland; Betty J., married to Vernon Beiler, Morgantown; F. Charles, married to Brenda M. Andrew Reiff, Ephrata; Amos R., Jr., married to Rose Burkholder Reiff, Akron and Darlene F., married to Jesse Weaver, Lebanon; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurelyn Fay Beiler; brothers Jonas, Samuel, David, Noah and Jacob and sisters, Lizzie Hoover and Esther Zimmerman.

His funeral will be held on Monday May 16 at 10 AM at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop C. Kenneth Martin and Pastor Leon Hurst, and Pastor Adam Esbenshade officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held at Fairmount Home Wheat Ridge Chapel on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and at the church on Monday from 9 to 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Weaverland Mennonite Church, c/o Brian Martin, 1542 Division Hwy., Narvon, PA 17555.
