About Anastasia "Stella" Kukowski
Her obit dated, Thursday, 16, August, 1956, from The Winona Daily News... Mrs. Stella Kukowski Mrs. Stella Kukowski, 86, 176 Mankato Ave., died Wednesday evening at Winona General Hospital after an illness of several months. She was born Feb. 18,1870 in Dansig, Poland and came to this country and Winona 84 years ago. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society at St. Stanislaus Church. She is survived by three sons, Walter, Edmund and Daniel, all of Winona; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Loshek, Madison, and Mrs. Michael (Anna) Pershell, Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at the Watkowski Funeral Home and at 8:45 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. N.F. Grulkowski officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary society will say the Rosary at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today and at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Msgr. Grulkowski will say the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Friday.
