Anders found his bride on the Maeland farm and they took over Tjugum farm #1 in about 1654. Brita was the sister of Truls who moved to Ulvestad.
As per Jerry Rowe: The Tjugum Farm becomes two ‘sub-farms’ (1677). Anders gets one, and brother Nils gets the other. Anders and Nils are related to Bjarne Brelid. Ander’s son Jon continues as Sheriff for a short time.
Bygdebok for Balestrand
According to the Bygdebok, Anders had two wives, and Jon, Ola, and Thuri were born to the second. Ola wound up in Valsvik. Furhtermore, it is assumed that the second wife Ragnhild came from elsewhere, which means that her surname of Tjugum should be removed.
