ANDREW ANDEL FUNERAL TUESDAY

Funeral services were held at 2 Tuesday in the Breckenridge Lutheran Church for Andrew (Andy) Andel Jr., 61, of Breckenridge who died Sunday. The Rev. Reuben Mellum officiated and interment was in Riverside Cemetery at Breckenridge.

Mr. Andel was born May 15, 1909, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Andrew Andel Sr. and Elizabeth (Schultz) Andel. At the age of three, he moved with his parents to Rothsay, Minn,, where they farmed. He attended local schools there and later the family moved to Everdell. He worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad at Foxhome from 1940 until 1949. From 1949 to 1958, he worked on the section for the Great Northern Railway in Breckenridge. He retired in 1958 due to ill health and continued to make his home in Breckenridge. H was a member of the Eagles.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Chester (Ruth) Polda, Wyndmere, N.D.; Mrs. LeRoy (Esther) Larson. Big Rapids, MI.; Mrs. Donald (Leona) Mackovicz, Redmond, Wash.; Mrs. Marlyn (Ethel) Smith, Wahpeton, N.D.; Mrs Roger (Shirley) Romfo, Bottineau, N.D.; Mrs Larry (Blanche) Gruenberg, Springfield, Minn., and Judy at home.

His mother, Elizabeth Andel, Breckenridge; six brothers and six sisters, Frank, Fred, Walter, Mrs. Ray IWilma) Lindberg and Mrs. LaVern (Mabel) Rinnels, all of Breckenridge; Carl, Fargo; Earl and Mrs. Allen (Nellie) Meyer, both of Wahpeton, N.D.; Clarence, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Mrs Emil (Catherine) Beglau, Lodi, Calif.; Mrs. Morris (Florence) Swenson, Wolverton, Minn.; Mrs. Robert (Jospehine) Miller, Kent, Minn., and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Lorraine, at the age of 21 months, and a granddaughter. .
