ANDREW ANDEL PASSES AWAY
Funeral Services Friday From Breckenridge Lutheran Church
Andrew Andel of 203 North Fourth street, Breckenridge passed away on Tuesday, January 24 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev. P.A. Gisvold officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery.
Andrew Andel was born in Hungary May 1, 1888 and came to the United States as a young man. He first settled in Chicago, where he was married on July 26, 1909 to Elizabeth Schultz of Chicago. After their marriage they remained in Chicago for four years and then moved to Wilkin County and operated a farm in Nielsen township. They also farmed in Meadows and Sunnyside township and moved to Breckenridge in 1943.
Mr. Andel is survived by his wife, eight sons and six daughters: Andrew, Gilbert, Walter, Earl, and Clarence of Breckenridge; Frank of Dent, Fred of Foxhome, Carl of Wahpeton, Mrs. Emil Biglow (Catherine) of Alfred, N.D.; Mrs Ray Lindberg (Wilma) of Breckenridge, Mrs. LaVern Rinnels (Mabel) of Dent, Mrs. Morris Swenson (Florence) of Wolverton, Mrs. Allen Meyer (Nellie) of Wahpeton and Mrs. Robert Miller (Josephine) of Kent. Thirty-three grandchildren and one brother, Fred of Breckenridge also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter and six brothers.
