Andrew and Mary (Osowski) Cybulski In the late 1800’s Andrew and Mary (Osowski) Cybulski came to America from Poland with two daughters, Michalyna (Lena) born 1878, and Annastasia (Stella) born 1886. They settled by Warsaw, North Dakota, where a third daughter, Lelokardya (Laura) was born in 1894.
They moved to a farm in Barto Township, Roseau County, Minnesota, around 1895. In 1912, they sold the farm to John Pietruszewski, who married their daughter, Laura, in 1911.
Andrew and Mary moved into Leo. Mary served as a cook to Father Drewnicki. Andrew and Mary were a great help to their daughter Lena after her husband Frank Kukowski died July 5, 1917, from a farm accident. Lena was expecting her thirteenth child, Susyan (Mrs. Romuld Duray). She was born October 23, 1917, and is the sole survivor of the Frank and Lena Kukowski family. Susyan lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her granddaughter Cherie.
Andrew and Mary Cybulski's granddaughter, Theresa (Mrs. Adrian Borowicz), who is Laura Pietruszewski's youngest daughter celebrated her fiftieth wedding anniversary on May 25, 2004, at St. Paul, Minnesota. Submitted by Margaret Dostal Kuznia.
