Martin Tweed Dies at Joice; Rites Sunday
JOICE—Martin A. Tweed, 58, a local farmer, died Wednesday at his home here following a long illness. Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:45 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home and at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church southwest of Joice. The Rev. Lewis Bakke will officiate. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetery.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Knudt Tweed, he was a lifelong resident of this area. He was married to Bernice Field, Joice, Dec. 22, 1926
Survivors are his wife, four children, Mrs. Marlin (Syvilla) Bolson, Decorah; Maynard, at Iowa State University, Ames; Gerald, at Luther College, Decorah; and Kerry, 10, at home; five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Ancel Gilbertson, Lake Mills; Mrs. Earl Hagen, Garner; Mrs. Robert Latch, Clear Lake; and two brothers, Melville and Joseph, both of Lake Mills
