TO ALL PEOPLE to whom this present writing shall come WILLIAM BALL of PISCATICON Creeke in Farnham Pish in Essex County sendeth Greetings. Know yee that I sd WILLIAM as well for & in consideration of ye natural! love & affection which he hath & beareth to his three Children, SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN BALL, as for and in consideration of ye sum of Five shillings to him ye sd WILLIAM in hand paid by ye sd SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN well & truely paid hath given granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth fully clearely & absolutely give grant. bargaine & sell unto ye sd SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN, one young Grey Mare branded on ye neer buttock with an eye of an OX and ye said WILLIAM BALL for ye consideracons aforesd. doth further give grant bargaine and sell unto ye said EDWARD BALL one Cow called Dazey marked on ye right eare with a slitt and an under keele & ye left eare cropt and ye said WM. BALL for ye consideracons aforesd. doth farther give grant bargaine & sell unto ye said SARAH BALL one Cow called Browney marked with an under keele on ye right eare & with two slitts & a crop on ye left, To have and to hold ye sd Mare with all her future encrease unto ye sd SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN BALL from ye day of the date hereof to her his or their only proper use & uses as his her & their owne proporcon and chattells forever, And to have and to hold ye sd Cow called Dazey withall her future encrease unto ye sd EDWARD BALL his heirs form henceforth as his own proper goods & chattells for ever and to have & to hold ye sd Cow called Browney with all her future encrease unto ye said SARAH BALL her Exrs. & assignes from henceforth as her & their own proper goods & chattells forever; & ye sd WM. BALL for himselfe his heirs doth covenant & grant to & with the sd SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN BALL their heirs Exrs. and assignes and to & with every of them joyntly and severally by these presents that he ye sd WM. BALL his Exrs. & Admrs. ye said Mare with her encrease unto ye sd SARAH, EDWARD and JOHN BALL & ye sd Cow called Dazey unto ye sd EDWARD & ye sd Cow called Browney unto ye sd SARAH shall & will warrant and forever by these pr:sents defend against all people whatsoever according to effect intent & true meaning of these pr:sents In Witness whereof I sd WM. BALL hath hereunto sett his hand & seale dated this 11th day of Aprill Ano Dom 1693
