The will of Elena's mother, dated 12 October 1478, proved 31 December 1478, in which her mother was styled Domina Johanna Ingleby, relicta Willelmi Ingleby, militis, or Lady Joan Ingleby, widow of Sir William Ingleby, Knt, mentions:[1] her daughter Elena Constable, the wife of John Constable of Halsham, knight, and Elena's daughters [by Robert Eure]: Anna Constable, Isabella Constable, Elena Thwates.
