About Ann Dillon? Hacker
Note: Stafford County, situated along Virginia's Northern Neck, was formed out of Westmoreland County in 1666. Overwharton Parish was co-extensive with Stafford County, embracing within its territory what are now Prince William, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Alexandria counties as well as part of Fauquier.
More research needs to be done on Ann Hacker. It's not know whether Dillon was her middle name, or the surname of a first husband. Her exact birth date and the date of her death are also unknown. She did outlive her husband William, who died in 1772. One source gives her date of death as 1778; others as 1800, 1802, or 1803. If she died in 1800, she would have been 93 years old.
William and Ann had five children. They gave their second son Ann's maiden name as a middle name (John Turner Hacker, 1743-1824). Hacker's Creek was named for John Turner Hacker, one of the earliest settlers of Lewis County, (West) Virginia.
