John McNeil (Iain Mac Ruairidh) settled first at Benacadie Glen, but afterwards exchanged farms with his brother Malcolm, of Piper's Cove. He married Mary, daughter of Edward McNeil, of Benacadie Glen.

Issue: — Malcolm, Alex, and Mary.

Malcolm (Calum Iain) taught school in his younger days and was the first postmaster at Piper’s Cove. He married Ann, daughter of Alex McDonald (Alasdair Mac Iain-Ic-Aonghais) of Irish Cove. Issue: — Mary, Alex, John, James, Michael, Peggie, Katie, and Ann.
