Rory "Red" MacNeil married Mary MacKinnon in Scotland. They and their family came from Barra and settled in lona Rear in about 1822. Their family: Donald, John, Neil, Malcolm, Alex, Paul, Katie, Sarah, Mary, and Ann. 194
Ann married Hector "Big" MacNeil, Iona (see 142), lived in Hector's Point, and had a family.
Hector "Mor" (Rory, Rory) married Ann (Rory "Red") MacNeil, lona Rear (see 194). They lived in Hector's Point and their family: Rory H., Hugh, John, and Catherine. 142
Donald McNeil (Rory) and his Descendants.
This man was one of the family of Rory McNeil (Red) of Barra, and he was the only one of them that settled in this district. The other members of that family were Paul, Neil, Alex and John who settled at Rear Iona, Sarah who married Neil McNeil, Gillis Point; Mary who married Neil McNeil (Mac-Eoin), Iona; Ann who married Hector McNeil (Big), Iona; and Catherine who married Rory McPhee (Big), of Beaver Cove.
