Mrs. Annie Pennanen, 64, wife of Gust Pennanen of North McIntyre, died at the family home Saturday following a long illness. Born in Finland, she came to this city 32 years ago, marrying shortly afterward. For twenty years she was a resident of Intola and for the past 12 had lived in North McIntyre. She was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her husband are on son, Kaulo, North McIntyre; one daughter, Miriam, Mrs. Carl Haight, at home; one grandson and a sister in Finland. The funeral will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Funeral Chapel, 299 Arthur Street to Riverside Cemetery. Rev. R.W. Heikkinen will officiate.

The death occurred Saturday morning at the family residence in McIntyre township, of Mrs. Ann Pennanen 64, wife of Gust Pennanen, proprietor of the Dawson Road Service Station. Born in Finland, Mrs. Pennanen came to Port Arthur 32 years ago and after residing at Intola for 20 years moved to McIntyre where she had lived since. Mr. and Mrs. Pennanen were married shortly after she came to this country. Surviving are the husband, one son Kauko; a daughter Mariam, Mrs. Carl Height and grandson Gary Pennanen at the family home, one sister in Finland. Mrs. Pennanen had been ill for the past year. She was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church, Port Arthur. The funeral will be held Wednesday from Everest's Chapel at 2 p.m. to Riverside Cemetery with Rev. R.W. Heikkinen of the Finnish Lutheran Church officiating.
