Ann STOKES was born c1746

Ann was convicted of theft (with Mary RUSSELL) and sentenced to 7 years transportation. Ann arrived in Sydney Cove on 3/6/1790 on "Lady Juliana"

In August 1790, Ann was sent to Norfolk Island

Ann had a relationship with Humphrey STOKES on Norfolk Island and they had the following children

  • unknown daughter (Some websites list two daughters Ann and Elizabeth)

Was transferred to Hobart on “Lady Nelson” in 1807

Ann died 26/2/1816


There is currently no evidence to support Elizabeth (Stokes) Genders, Convict "Glatton" 1803 as her daughter - please see discussion
