Ann Elizabeth Thesen (1931 - 2003)
Brief overview:
Ann (72), a retired nurse, and her son, Gerald, arrived at their home in Somerset West, after going shopping, and were brutally attacked by two robbers already in the house. Gerald was dragged from the kitchen to the bathroom, tied up, and while one attacker held him down, the other stabbed him four times, also in his lung, which punctured. He tried to warn his mother, but was stabbed again. Ann was also held down, and stabbed 14 times. Ann did not survive. Gerald managed to crawl to the phone and call the police.
