About Anna Maria Altizer, ?

In her application for a pension on the service of her husband, the late Emera Altizer, Mary declared that she was married in Haggarstown, Maryland in July, 1773. Her parents were opposed to the marriage so they eloped. She declared that they were married by a minister of the Gospel, but that there were no banns published or marriage license issued.

The pension application file runs 25 pages in length. Most of those pages are attached to her profile under the Sources tab.
