Considered a Voortrekker stamouer. Her death notice TAB MHG 0/7244, 1863 gives her surname as BODAS - probably phonetic spelling. It is signed by J T Kelly - Veldcornet (son of Irish friend of husband Terence William who lived at Ballymore Farm, Zoutpansberg). Death notice only mentions 2 children with Terence William Fitzgerald. Info. regarding husband corresponds to husband's death notice and her 2 children with him. Malherbe spells her name as Anna Johanna BOTES. Heese gives her birth date as 11 Jan 1818, baptised 15 Mar 1818, Tulbagh. BUT death notice gives birth date as 17 Jun 1817 (incorrect). "Botes stamregister and Kwatierstaat" by Willie Johan Botes also gives date as 11 Jan 1818. Her 1st marriage on 24 Apr 1836, Beaufort West to Coenraad Hendrik FAASEN born 13 Feb 1815. Had a daughter Anna and/or name may be Aletta Johanna).
