Anna Knöpfelmacher (Donath)

Anna (Donath) Knopfelmacher was born in Wsetin, Moravia in 1787. In early adulthood, she is seen as "Freidl" or "Francisca", but later, exclusively as "Anna". In 1857, Anna was a widow living in the home of her oldest daughter, Terezia (Knopfelmacher) Knopfelmacher (b. 1805) [household #4 in Holesov]. Later, In 1869, Anna is seen living in the home of her son, Joseph Knopfelmacher (b. 1825). She died in his household in 1873, age 86.

It was originally thought that there were two wives of Emanuel Knopfelmacher -- 1st, Freidl Donath, and 2nd, Anna Donath. But an interpretation of Hebrew writing on the gravestone of Jeanette (Knopfelmacher) Zerkowitz (1822-1905) has proven that "Freidl" and "Anna" were the same person.
