"Sister Anna S. Pehrson, a most beloved wife and mother, passed away to the great beyond Jan. 10, 1907, at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 7 days. The cause of her death was pneumonia, having been prostrated only five days.
She was born in Sweden and accepted the gospel (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) at the age of 21, in her native land. Nearly five years later she married E. J. Pehrson and they both set sail for America and traveled across the plains by ox teams, arriving in Utah the year 1861. After residing in Tooele City a couple of years, they moved south and were the first to settle the town of Vernon, although there were small tracts of land located by others.
She endured many hardships, the Indians being very hostile, but was blessed with the necessities of life. She was especially known for being charitable, industrious, unselfish, kind and generous and an example to all who knew her. She was the mother of six children, two of which preceded her to the other side. To every principal of the gospel she was faithful and true to the last, prizing her religion above all else. In the Relief society she was an earnest worker, acting five years as first counselor to the president after which she was made president and held this position the remaining 16 years of her life, performing her labors in this line in a most creditable manner.
She was exceedingly beloved by her family and known for her honest purity and faithfulness. She leaves a husband, four children and 17 grandchildren, who deeply mourn her loss.

Anna was married to Eric Pehrson on the 16 may 1861 on the Atlantic Ocean. Her parents were Erick Johnsson and Christina Persson Johnsson. She had 7 children.
