Annah was the second wife of Everett Sampson.
The following was taken from the May 21, 1943 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:
Mrs. Anna Sampson, about 65, widow of the late Everett Sampson, one of the best known Indians in Robeson county, died early today at her home in Back Swamp township, on Lumberton, R. 4. after an illness of about a month.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. from Deep Branch church, with burial in Deep Branch cemetery.
Surviving are six daughters, Mmes J. W. Smith, W. R. Sampson, Harley Hunt, H. T. Hunt, Samuel Freeman, and Lester Graham; two sons, Luther Hilburn Sampson and Bernice Sampson; and 14 stepchildren by her husband's previous marriage.

Annah was the daughter of Timothy and Annie Dial Locklear. She was the second wife of Everett Sampson. Her brother, William M. Locklear, married Everett's sister, Mary Delia.
