Is she Elizabeth Anne Baumann (born Herr), 1680 - 1735? Yes, she might be..."Wendel married Ann Herr (1680-1735) in 1709 in Strasburg, Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. Ann was the daughter of Hans H Herr (1639-1725) and Elizabeth Mylin Kendig Herr (1639-1730)."
"Wendel, Anna, and their children, should be noted as the initial immigrant family in the Herr-Kendig-Bowman-Weber family migration chain from the Palatinate of the Rhine to south-central Pennsylvania. Traveling down the Rhine River, the family embarked aboard the barque Mary Hope at Rotterdam. Arriving in Philadelphia in 10/1707, they sojourned at the ethnic community of Germantown, Philadelphia Co PA until 1710 when the main family group joined them at Germantown.
The extended family continued their westward migration in the company of several other Mennonite families led by Bishop Hans Herr, pioneering the Pequea Creek Valley in what would become Lancaster County, PA.
Wendel/Wynand Santmann (1665/81-1735) b. Thun, Canton Bern, Switzerland; r. Pequea Creek, Lancaster County, PA (son of Hans “John” Rudolf Dandiker & Anna Santmann Bauman – some sources have mother as Anna Meili Funck)
m1. Anne K. Coopersmith (1680/5-before 1735) b. Switzerland; r. may have died in America, (parents unknown)
m2. Anna Kendig Herr (1679/80-before 1735)
Married: 1709, Pennsylvania?
Children: Exact names & dates uncertain. We believe these children represent the separation of the Virginia and Pennsylvania Bowmans as well as the Lancaster/Berks County families. Some Baumans moved to Maryland. This family represents the evolution of the surname from Baumann (Swiss) to Bauman (Eastern PA) to Bowman (VA & Somerset County, PA) as Swiss-German & English-speaking public officials recorded their names.
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww The Genealogical Record of Reverend Hans Herr written in 1908 by Theodore W Herr, Genealogist, after much research has a list of the children of The Bishop Hans Herr and Anna is not included. I wonder if Anna, wife of Wendel Bauman was actually the daughter of one of his brothers rather than Rev. Herr as claimed in Find A Grave Memorial# 44850655 and several MyHeritage Smart Matches.
