Not the same as Sarah Carter
John Crew, of New Kent County married Sarah Gatley, daughter of Nicholas Gatley and his wife Sarah, on October 13, 1690, in Henrico County, Virginia. Their children were:
ix. Anne (Crew) Lane married William Lane (Ladd) in 1733/34 in Charles City County and had seven children. In 1764, the family moved to New Garden monthly meeting in Guilford County, North Carolina with other relatives. William was dismissed from the Society of Friends in 1769.
