About Annie Ruth "Ruthie" Benson

Mrs. Annie Metcalf, aged 66 years, passed away at the home of Jim Simmons in the 3rd district, Monday morning at 7:35 following a week's illness. She was a member of the Batist Church at Gum Springs. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Gum Springs Baptist Church. Services were by the Rev. C. I. Gwathney. Burial in the Gum Springs Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Willard Metcalf; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Simmons, Mrs. Clara Simmons, Mrs. Ollie Chisam, and Miss Lillie Metcalf; two sons, Lon and Edgar Simmons; one half-sister and four half-brothers; Twenty-nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
