Biography

Anthony Littlefield was baptized in Titchfield, County Hants, England on 7 October 1621 to Edmund Littlefield and Annis Spear.[1] Anthony came with his father. When local affairs were settled, the rest of the family came over on the Bevis of Hampton under Captain Torres in May, 1638.[2] The Littlefields were the earliest Europeans to settle that region, life was not easy. Anthony then married Mary Page, daughter of Thomas Page of Saco, Maine before 30 June 1656.[3][4] [5]

Anthony took the oath of allegiance to Massachusetts at Wells and became a freeman on 5 July 1653.[6][7] On November 27, 1653, Anthony was appointed as a selectman.[8]

Anthony and Mary were inhabitants during the 'continuance of the plantation'.[9] Anthony was a planter (farmer) and a miller.
