“A planter at Salem in 1637; lived in New Plymouth in 1640, and came to Wells in the next year. He was granted land at Great Farm on the mouth of the Kennebunk River. He bought Drake's Island in 1652, then sold it two years later and went to Scarbough. From here [Scrborough] 1654-55 he went to Saco, and eventually to Marblehead, Mass. Was a commissioner of Wells.”
